Andy Thomson
Karaoke Theory

Karaoke Theory is a single-screen video installation that explores how we come to know and understand the nature of object-ness and, in particular, how this knowledge is framed in the irresolvable tension between representation and direct haptic experience. Here Andy Thomson uses video, sound and architectural intervention to create a space of uncertainty that challenges the fixity of our understanding of what is ‘real’.
