Invisible Drawings

Invisible Drawings is an exhibition project developed by Light Projects in collaboration with students and staff from Northcote Primary School. It features a collection of drawings by grade prep students which respond to a brief proposed by Light Projects’ curators. The project is concerned with the nature of gallery and curatorial frames, and the qualifications inherent in the presentation of “art objects.” The young artists are requested to create a drawing of something visible, and a drawing of something invisible; a brief which invites a consideration of the diverse possibilities of perception, and the conventions of pictorial representation.
